Grandparents at a loss for ideas can transport children to a whole new world of imagination. The museum is a safe venue for children to learn and explore The museum is located at 219 North Ridgewood Drive in downtown Sebring and is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A small admission fee is charged.

In the Military Sea Services Museum, visitors will find artifacts dating back to WWII. Many displays are personal possessions of veterans. The museum is located on the corner of Kenilworth Blvd. and Roseland Ave in Sebring. For more information call (863) 471-2386.

The SFCC Museum of Florida Art and Culture features the artists of Florida. The exhibits change about every 6 weeks.  The museum is open to the public with no admission charge - 12:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Wednesday to Friday and by appointment fro groups. It is located on the South Florida Community College Avon Park campus on Highway 27.

Picturesque railroad stations are home to historical museums in Avon Park and Lake Placid, where visitors can explore the history of these communities. The historic Sebring Railroad Station, still in active use for daily AMTRAK service, has undergone a complete restoration and has again become a favorite place to visit or just to watch the trains come and go.
