Nature lovers will enjoy the Highland Hammock State Park where there are trails and boardwalks as well as a guided tram tour through native wilderness. Other trails are available at Water Management District, the Archbold Biological Station near Lake Placid or the Avon Park Air Force Range. Bicycling has become very popular here in recent years. Any skill level can find a perfect route through the surrounding countryside. In Sebring, the bike club, The Highland Peddlers, serves residents and visitors.
