Lake Bonnet is not suitable for swimming. However, there are 2 Pools and Hot Tubs available for residents and guests. Highlands County is an ideal area for water sports with more than 80 Lakes and several creeks. The Highland Airboat Association offers airboating opportunities for people who don't have the boats but want to glide up close to watch birds or water creatures. There are 70 named lakes in Highlands County and most are accessible through 43 boat ramps. With all these lakes there is plenty of water skiing, use of jet skis, motorboats, rowboats, canoes and airboats. Lake Jackson in Sebring, is a popular spot for water sports and there are two public beaches with boat ramps. Rotary Park has a city pier, park with picnic pavilions, sandy beach and boat dock. Veteran's Beach has a playground, picnic area, small swimming area and boat ramp.
